You know something, Gabriel? This is exactly your problem. This, in a nutshell, is why you're gonna be on the Barge forever. You keep looking for somebody to give you a second chance, you keep wanting people to trust you so that you can change, but for however smart you think you are you've completely failed to grasp the concept of meeting people halfway.
Newsflash: You are a monster, sport. You kill people because they have shiny powers and you want them. It's the equivalent of a crack addict killing old ladies for their small change. You don't just get the luxury of people being nice to you - especially not people you've murdered, just in case you forgot - no no no, it's something you have to earn.
Case in point. You did not have to respond with a crack about whatever my type is. You could have just said that yeah, you were going to find him. Then you would have had the moral high ground, I would have been pleasantly surprised by your willingness to take an interest in somebody else's welfare, and maybe next time I talk to you we could have had a halfway civilized conversation. You see how it works? And if you think all that amounts to taking it like a bitch then frankly you're not wrong, but it's all part of the healing process.
Go ahead, roll your eyes or smirk or tell me how I just don't understand like it'll make me any less right.
