In the spirit of your stupid honesty rule, I punched Mozenrath and in the circumstances, I'm not sorry - I was affected, anyway, so it wasn't really me. On a directly relevant note, do you have any particularly strong future space liquor?

I hope I didn't actually fracture anything, but I'm not apologizing. Let's just draw a curtain over the last couple days and get on with our lives.

[Time skips are for the awesome. But looking basically human is good, even though he's frowning as he closes the door behind him.]

Are you okay?

Yeah, I'm fine. My plan to eradicate the last few days didn't go so well. On the other hand, I passed out before I could give myself alcohol poisoning, so...there's that, I guess?

Yeah, I'd say that's a perk. [And he's leaning in to kiss her, because there is a sudden and surprising need for affection.]

[Yeah, Shego can't really remember much of what she said last night but she remembers there was quite a lot of dissing Tim going on. She feels bad about that now - she doesn't strictly think none of it was true, but she still feels bad - and when he leans in she closes the distance, cupping his face with her hands. This is good. Oh God the last person she remembers kissing is Kim, why does God hate her.]

[Because she steals things and shit. Duh. Tim wraps his arms around her, though, because he is in the same, very scarring boat, and would much rather think about her when he closes his eyes than Conner. So he's a little more insistent than he normally would be, which makes him break off, but not let her go.]

Should I be finding crazy hangover remedies, or just offering Advil?

Neither. I took some aspirin when I woke up. [She kisses him again, hands in his hair.]

Goo- [Words aren't really important anyway, right? He holds her tighter. Might be contemplating picking her up.]

[She wraps her arms around his neck, finally managing to let the last few days go for a while. But the sudden disconnect between feet and floor isn't what she was expecting, and it summons up the memory of him doing the same thing to Steph; she doesn't pull away, but she does kind of go stiff for a moment.]

[Which is hard not to notice, so Tim does pull back, though he doesn't put her down right away.] Shego...?

What? [She's really more interested in him not being a cheerleader than she is in past indiscretions that weren't exactly his fault anyway. And her overreaction thereto. She winds one leg around his waist, planting her lips underneath his ear.]

[There is seriously something to be said for curves over muscles, and Tim shifts so he can hold her with one arm, the other running along her leg before heading up to run through her hair.] Nothing.

Mmm.

[She kisses him again, but only for a moment, and draws back enough to make eye contact.]

Tim, if you want to know...

[It really takes him a minute to figure out what the hell she's talking about because he is Very Distracted. But the confusion clears, and he squeezes his arm around her waist.] Only if you want to tell me.

[She doesn't, because the whole thing was stupid and confusing and lasted less than three weeks and took place a year and a half ago and good GOD the Barge was the worst place to have an experimental phase after a life-so-far of celibacy. On the other hand, she knows that Tim will hate not knowing. And maybe it's better to clear the air. Maybe.]

It was, uh - and this doesn't go any further than us, okay? Because Kirk is the only other person who knows. [A pause.] It was Rayne.

[His grip loosens just a tiny bit before tightening again, and he cocks his head tot he side. Well. At least she knows he'd rather know.]

That - uh - okay. I didn't know she was - interested in women. ...Or anyone, for that matter.

Well. Uh. She is. [She clears her throat.] It only lasted a couple weeks. You know how she seems kinda crazy from a distance? It only gets worse up close.

[He puts her down, since this conversation feels a little awkward off the ground.] So...why?

[Thank you for that Tim. She sits down on the edge of the bed, leaning back on her hands.]

Why what?

[He shoves his hands in his pockets once they're free.] Why did you date her? [He's assuming they dated and it wasn't just a sex thing because...it's Shego. But pause.] It wasn't a flood, right?

[Sorry Tim, it was pretty much just a sex thing. And also the reason why she doesn't do sex things any more.]

No. It was...I don't know, weird. She wasn't like anybody I knew back home, and I guess I kind of had a crush? And it just went from there. I'd only arrived on the Barge a couple months before, I hadn't worked out how to deal with this place yet...I don't think I would've seen her more than a couple times, but then things went crazy. This was a couple Halloweens ago. There was a demon loose on the Barge or something, and everything was nuts. Like, waaaayy more than usual. I didn't really have any good friends at the time besides McCoy and he had his own crap to deal with, I basically hated Kirk at the time....I didn't need somebody to sleep with, I just needed someone to have my back. [She frowns, playing with her hair absentmindedly.] But that was the way me and her were going just then, so...it went.

[This all rather dishonestly implies the opposite of actual events - those being that they slept together first and considered dating later - but frankly she likes this version better.]

[Tim moved to sit next her, pulling a hand out of his pocket to run through his hair before leaning forward on his knees.] How long? [He didn't mean to ask, because he wasn't sure he really cared, but there it was.] ...And what happened? [That part, that he kind of wanted to know.]

Three weeks. [She frowns.] What do you mean, what happened? Lots of stuff happened. Are you asking me how it ended?

[Oh God face.] I mean how it ended, yeah. [He's pretty sure he doesn't want to know any other details.]

I dumped her. [She shrugs.] The Halloween mess was over, and she was still just....crazy, and she hated most everyone I considered friends at the time. There was nothing that made it worth the drama.

[Tim just nods. Because that is very logical. He leans back on his hands.] Would it suck to say I'm glad it didn't work out?
