I dunno how long I'll actually be gone. I'm gonna aim not to be away any longer than a couple days Barge time, but you know how the Admiral exists to totally ruin your plans? Yeah.

If anybody wants anything from my world or Gotham, now's the time to ask.

[It really, really is. Shego opens the door, doesn't say anything for a moment, then executes a mental 'fuck this' and pulls Cissie into a hug because it's a crappy day for both of them and she has big-sister responsibilities dammit.]

[When Shego opened the door, Cissie managed to smile, but when Shego makes the first move, she's relieved--partly because she doesn't have to figure out what to say yet. She returns the hug tightly, and is maybe just a little clingy. She's also not really sure she cares. As long as they're hugging, no one can see if she's tearing up again.]

[Shego is aware of the clinginess - only just, she doesn't really get hugged often enough to judge specific hug characteristics - but she can't think of a single reason she'd object to that. She just lets the silence stretch out a while longer and swallows around the lump in her throat. As much as she can't say no to the opportunity to leave for a little while, it's difficult not to really regret graduating right now.]

[The thing with even the most clingy hugs, there comes a point where you either have to pull back and compose yourself, or you have to admit defeat and just start crying. Cissie's not ready to do that yet, so she takes a shaky breath and gives Shego a little squeeze before pulling back. She swipes at her eyes, but smiles brightly.]

I totally knew you could do it.

[Shego smirks and steps back, tactfully pretending not to notice Cissie wiping her eyes.]

Better than I did, apparently. I guess two years was about as long as I could deal with.

[Cissie appreciates the pretending. A lot.]

Hey, Sylar graduated. There's even hope for Arthas now.

[Joking helps, right? LET'S CHANGE THE SUBJECT!]

So--Gotham, huh?

To start out, anyway. I figure if I'm gonna go somewhere and bust heads in an outlandish costume, then it might as well be in a world where they're already used to it.

[That makes Cissie laugh a little.]

Fair enough. You should have plenty of chances to do that there.

Yeah, I suspected as much. And hey, how else am I gonna judge your choice of boyfriends when you go home?

[That catches Cissie a little off guard; she looks surprised, and takes half a second too long to laugh.]

Okay, okay. You know I'm not actually from Gotham?

Yeah, I'm aware. But you live on the same plane of reality, and after taking that little detail into account, the trip to wherever you do live is....not that big a deal.

[Cue a slightly sheepish (and a little sad) smile.]

...Yeah okay, true.

So--you'll go to Gotham, and then to your world?

Yeah. I'm not gonna stick around, though. I just need to talk to my family, tell a few people they're still losers...then I'm done. I don't plan on going back there again.

[She nods, thoughtfully.] And then... you're coming back? Or going back to Gotham?

Coming back, earning my retirement package, then Gotham. [She makes a vague gesture with one hand.] More or less.

...At the risk of getting mushy on you, I can think of plans I'd like less.

[She laughs under her breath.] Ciss, if that's what passes as 'mushy' for you then I think we're gonna get on just fine.
