[Shego's pointing the communicator away from her, doing a slow sweeping shot of the new pool room above decks.]

Has anybody else been up here? It's gotten kinda fancy since we came back, I guess the Admiral found some extra omnipotence in his other pants and renovated. Not that this is necessarily a good thing - gives with one hand, punches you in the jaw with the other, we all get how the Barge works.

[She sets it down next to her, the shot briefly blurring past her as she moves the communicator - eagle eyes will note Shego is a) wearing a swimsuit and b) sporting a black eye and several defensive bruises on her forearms.]

Oh, and the greenhouse looked a little bit more...I dunno, architectural? So if you're into plants I guess it's your lucky day or whatever.

[There's a long silence and then she just makes a noise and turns off the communicator.]

"Yeah." She sat down on a conveniently available bench, leaning forward and pushing her hands back through her hair.

"It wasn't the silent treatment," she said finally. "But I get that the silent treatment and 'I'm too mad to have a rational conversation right now' look exactly the same. So if it happens again I'll just tell you that."

"I need flashing warning signs," Jim said, hesitating for a moment before going to sit next to her. "And small words. I really wasn't teying to strap a leash on you and dictate everything. I'm well aware you would murder me in my sleep."

"I'd wake you up first." She glanced at him, brushing a few locks of hair out of her eyes. ...I know you weren't. Not deliberately. I just don't wanna have to feel like you are."

"Thank you, that's real courteous of you," Kirk quipped. "Does this mean you do like strip clubs?"

She raised an eyebrow. "It means that if you want to go burn money on drooling over women who don't look as good naked as I do, then that's your business."

"It's the Admiral's money so who cares," Jim answered with a small smile. "You are hot, so I'll give you that."

"I don't need to be 'given' a universal truth," she said lightly. "Has it really been a month?"

"It really has." It'd been a few days longer than that since he'd died or come close to it or whatever you wanted to call the reason why he was on the Barge again. But they weren't going to tallk about that.

"And you haven't even hit me yet either."

"You're not my Warden any more," she said, as if those two things had any reason to be intimately related. "It's started to feel counterproductive."

"Sometimes I deserve a good smack to the head," Kirk said, bumping her with his shoulder for a moment. "Like if someone walked in and sees me hanging out in here."

"Look, if the door opens I'll get you in a headlock and start yelling. Until that happens, I feel like I've been involved in enough smacking for a little while." She gestured at her face.

"Do you want some ice or kisses or something?"

"That's cute, but I think I'll go to the Infirmary later and get some actual medical attention."

"I work in the Infirmary now."

"Then let me correct that to 'I'll go to the Infirmary later and get some actual medical attention from a doctor."

"Alright but Bones' bitching is going to be more annoying than me."

"Look, after Gotham I had to go get him to patch me up because I'd been stabbed in the arm. He was just kinda 'you crazy kids and your vigilantism', I wouldn't call it bitching."

Maybe Kirk was just special then, that he got all of the bitching for things like a papercut. "You were stabbed?"

She shrugged. "Just once."

"Being stabbed at all isn't really a great track record. Not that I'm one to talk but you know."

"Yeah, you're not one to talk. It comes with the territory, okay? You deal with guys who use knives, eventually you get stabbed."

"Doesn't mean I have to like that you've been stabbed."

"Are you worrying about me?" She nudged him with her shoulder. "That's adorable."

"Shut up," Kirk answered even as he looped an arm around her shoulders. "Try not to get stabbed anymore."

"10-4 on that." She glanced at the door. "We should probably take this elsewhere before I really do have to put you in a headlock."
