[Shego's looking as neat and cheery as ever - but there's a folded Kleenex sticking out of her shirt pocket and even while she's smiling her eyes are red-rimmed and sad.]

Hi, everybody! I thought it'd be a good idea to let everyone know that Regina's in one of those darned comas again. Honestly, I don't know how the Admiral expects her to get out of here if she can't even stay awake five minutes! Anyway, I've taken her to the Infirmary so she'll be looked after 'til it's over, and I'm going to visit her as much as I can, so don't any of her friends worry.

Otherwise, I...guess I'm going to try and be around a little bit more over the next few days. You all know Cissie left, and...she was like a little sister to me. I never had a little sister before, and I couldn't ask for a better one - I'm just so happy for her. She helped Isaac graduate and she's got her life together and she's got a plan and that's great. I know she's gonna do great things.

[Her smile fades a little.] But I'm still gonna miss her a lot. I'm pretty down right now. But! it never helped anybody to just sit around sulking and let it fester, right? So I'll be around. If anybody needs any extra training in the gym or wants to go hiking in the CES or - you know, anything. I'm here.

Long-termers will remember that she used to be unfriendly and asocial - but never sarcastic and embittered - but over time, making friends and coming out of her shell, she learnt the ~power of friendship~ and subsequently graduated. She's now a sweet, sincere person who will nonetheless kick your ass with a smile if you're disturbing the peace.]

She knew it was going to be more than a second because Kirk had to make sure everything in his cabin was at right angles before he left; she was a naturally tidy person herself but she couldn't hold a candle to his level of organization. It was cute, but sometimes she wished he could be a little more spontaneous. You don't have to look before you leap every time.

Still, she straightened her cabin a little and she was at the door with a smile on her face by the time he came over.

Not only just look, but analyze and look again about seven more times.

Jim gave her a smile back and slid an arm around her shoulder, using his other hand to tuck that tissue in first before completely the hug. "I'm going to miss her a lot too."

She squeezed his waist, resting her cheek against his chest. The potential of a literal shoulder to cry on made her sniffle briefly, eyes stinging, but she reined it in.

"Yeah. She'll be just great, though. I know she will."

Oh god, don't actually cry on him. Well, she could and he'd let her if she really needed to but the wet patch would also drive him insane.

"We can go visit her sometime?" You know, after Flynn graduated or Bones fulfilled his deal, whatever came first.

"Yeah! Yeah, that'd be great. She can't get rid of us that easily, right? When you're done here. We can just drop in on her."

Slightly teasing, because Jim did not 'just drop in'.

He knew she was teasing and pinched her hip for it anyway. "Can I do anything else for you?"

She squirmed and giggled. Never mention that ever, Kirk.

"I don't know, Captain. How long did you schedule for this visit?"

They had a no talk about floods pact, let's be real.

"It's around five point three-four hours until dinner. All for you."

"Around?" She giggled again. "Why don't you shave off a decimal place, Jim? Live a little."

Jim gave her a mildly confused look. "If we're late for dinner, we don't get first choice of anything or good seats."

"Orrr we could stay here and I could make dinner. I've got stuff in the freezer."

"I could... do the dishes?" No man has ever looked happier because of dishes.

She grinned and kissed the tip of his nose.

"You can totally do the dishes."

Which will probably take three or four times longer than it'll have to, but there's not much she can do about his neat-freakiness so she might as well indulge it.

If she indulged it, then he was more likely to put out and not get distracted by something like, the direction her lamp was facing or taking out the trash. So win for her as well.

Jim gave her a real kiss for that. "We still have some time to kill."

"Five point three-four ours all to ourselves, huh. Did you have any plans for me?"

Come on, Jim. You always have plans.

"It's more like five point three hours by now," he pointed out.

"Silly me. Let's call it five and then we have point three going spare in case of emergencies. So, what can we do for five hours, hm?"

What sort of emergencies were you expecting?

"I feel like you have something in mind and are just being coy."

Ones that can be resolved in eighteen minutes apparently.

"Coy?" She took a step back, lacing her fingers behind her back, circling the floor with a toe. "I don't know, Captain. That doesn't sound like me at all."
