113 - Voice

[Backdated to a few hours after the end of port. Shego stumbled back on board after four days of almost no sleep and not much food and was not braced for a serious business talk with the Admiral at all. When she talks she sounds exhausted and...not stunned exactly, but very '.....that was something I wasn't expecting to happen today'.]

So, uh.

Regina graduated?

You should probably go tell her well done because I sure as heck didn't contribute all that much.

Kirk elbowed her back for a half second, like a true five year old. "You stopped threatening to kill me. It was a dead giveaway."

"Maybe I'd acknowledged that it was just encouraging you. Did Flynn ever start? He doesn't seem like the threatening-to-kill-you type."

As opposed to Shego, who had been at best theoretically aware and had become much, much more intimately acquainted as her time on the Barge went on.

That meant more than he'd really ever tell her. He figured that she never really disliked him as much as she claimed but sometimes it was nice to hear. "That's going in my captain's log. Today Shego complimented me."

Kirk stuck his tongue out at her, and slid his arm around her shoulders a moment later. "Anyway. Just promise me that you're not going to spend years and years here because you can't think of something better."

She shifted around to rest her head on his shoulder. "It's not thinking of something better that's the problem, it's picking one thing and sticking to it. But - whatever. I promise, okay?"
