You didn't hurt my feelings or anything, I just don't get what's with the attitude. I was trying to be nice and you came at me with all kinds of social incompetence unpleasantness. Did you really think I'd like, not react with sarcasm or something when you obviously don't want to talk about whatever?
I mean, it's not worth getting in a fight over to me. That's why I figured we could just let it go. But if you really want to keep going, it's not like I have anything better to do.
This is not a fight, this is at worst an argument, and I would call it a conversation. If this was a fight, one of us would be in the Infirmary by now and frankly I don't think it would be me.
But seriously, since apparently you honestly don't know what you've done wrong here, I am going to try and teach you something. Being 'nice', a word I use advisedly when applying it to you, encompasses not acting all wounded and/or being a total jerk when the other person isn't nice back.
If you're 'trying to be nice' and the recipient of your niceness doesn't want to hear it, the 'nice' response isn't to turn on the verbal abuse and keep pushing like you can force them to accept your sympathy. That's creepy, and it makes you seem like you're looking to profit from it somehow. Learn to back off.
