Hypothetical situation. Call it an intellectual exercise.

Inmates versus Wardens. No holds barred - everybody's got all their powers, their mad science, helpful voices in their heads, whatever.  Admiral's asleep or out to lunch or just doesn't care, which I'd argue is his default position anyways but my personal biases don't need to be involved here.

Who'd win?

Oh, and if you're going to get your panties in a bunch over me fostering hostility or whatever it is I'm doing, then a) imagine it's just a softball game or something and b) know that you are a total wuss.

No. I think he's from the other - okay, 'other universe' doesn't mean anything here. There was a...crisis a few years ago, our universe collided, sort of, with another one, with heroes kind of like ours. I only heard a mention of him, though.

[SO THEY MEET UP AT EIGHT AND GET RIGHT INTO THE FENCING. Setting up spam is boring, so we're gonna say they'd done some practice, then sparred a couple of rounds, MAYBE THIS TIME PREFECT ACTUALLY HIT SHEGO ONCE OR TWICE, and then got cocky and had his ass handed to him. Or something.

Anyway, once their latest round is done, he removes his fencing mask, and lets out a sigh of exhaustion, wiping the sweat away from his brow.]

That was better, right? Was that better?

Yes, to my continuing amazement you are improving slightly. [She grabs a hand towel and tosses it over to him because wiping sweat with your hands will just give you sweaty hands. Ew.]

[He pauses then, and looks down st the mask in his hands, evading her gaze.] I've been meaning to ask you, Sister, how you've been doing with your new warden?

Enh. We've only met once so far, and it didn't last all that long. [But she's pulling a face which suggests that one brief meeting did not go well.]

The ability to communicate adequately with your subordinates or peers is imperative in a combat situation. Inmates prove less efficient in that way, I've noticed. That isn't to say that wardens are the paragon of social competence, but I think we're passable.

I think in an all-out 'do or die' situation, both sides would have trouble with too many obnoxious Type As fighting over who gets to give the orders. And Wardens tend to have just a teeny tiny bit more of a problem with entitlement issues. Just saying.

But whatever. So are you actually back back now or what?
