Look, I know I already made this point back when I was a lesbian, but it's still true: that other world might not exist. You know that, right? We have precisely no evidence that what happens during floods is relevant anywhere else in however many universes there are.

[The faintest of snorts for 'back when I was a lesbian.' But then he's quiet for a minute.]

A couple years a go, there was this...Crisis. He was the Superboy from Earth-Prime. Not Conner - Superman, but younger, but that didn't matter. He'd lost his mind. I fought him with the Titans - he ripped a man's arm off, he killed another, and he tried to remake our Earth to be like his. He killed Kon. [Wow that is still hard to talk about, he did not realize.] But he died saving us.

Before he did, I saw other planets in the sky. Other Earths. Just because they come here doesn't mean they might not exist somewhere else. I've - I've seen pictures of another me. I know he's out there somewhere. Maybe they are too.

Yeah. Maybe. But if you let what might be going on somewhere keep you up at night then you'll die of sleep deprivation.

[Drly:] I'm already well on my way. Can I come by?

My lips are sealed. And yeah, I'm here.

[Aaand he is just heading right over. There is soon a knock at her door.]

[I'm just dragging this whole thing forward a day, because when she comes to the door she looks basically human but still amazingly hungover. The only reason she doesn't stink of alcohol and despair is that she spent a really, really long time in the shower this morning.]

[Time skips are for the awesome. But looking basically human is good, even though he's frowning as he closes the door behind him.]

Are you okay?

Yeah, I'm fine. My plan to eradicate the last few days didn't go so well. On the other hand, I passed out before I could give myself alcohol poisoning, so...there's that, I guess?

Yeah, I'd say that's a perk. [And he's leaning in to kiss her, because there is a sudden and surprising need for affection.]

[Yeah, Shego can't really remember much of what she said last night but she remembers there was quite a lot of dissing Tim going on. She feels bad about that now - she doesn't strictly think none of it was true, but she still feels bad - and when he leans in she closes the distance, cupping his face with her hands. This is good. Oh God the last person she remembers kissing is Kim, why does God hate her.]

[Because she steals things and shit. Duh. Tim wraps his arms around her, though, because he is in the same, very scarring boat, and would much rather think about her when he closes his eyes than Conner. So he's a little more insistent than he normally would be, which makes him break off, but not let her go.]

Should I be finding crazy hangover remedies, or just offering Advil?

Neither. I took some aspirin when I woke up. [She kisses him again, hands in his hair.]

Goo- [Words aren't really important anyway, right? He holds her tighter. Might be contemplating picking her up.]

[She wraps her arms around his neck, finally managing to let the last few days go for a while. But the sudden disconnect between feet and floor isn't what she was expecting, and it summons up the memory of him doing the same thing to Steph; she doesn't pull away, but she does kind of go stiff for a moment.]

[Which is hard not to notice, so Tim does pull back, though he doesn't put her down right away.] Shego...?

What? [She's really more interested in him not being a cheerleader than she is in past indiscretions that weren't exactly his fault anyway. And her overreaction thereto. She winds one leg around his waist, planting her lips underneath his ear.]

[There is seriously something to be said for curves over muscles, and Tim shifts so he can hold her with one arm, the other running along her leg before heading up to run through her hair.] Nothing.

Mmm.

[She kisses him again, but only for a moment, and draws back enough to make eye contact.]
