I'm kinda wondering at this point if the Warden of whoever did it knows who did it and just doesn't wanna admit they didn't notice their Inmate building a doomsday device.

Shego nodded and stirred a spoonful of sugar into her cup, then lifted it to her lips, just breathing in the scent for a moment. "Glad you approve."

He noted her adding sugar to hers, but he didn't move to do the same, figuring it was good enough by itself. He traced a finger along the rim of the mug, thoughtfully. "So -- say we do this," he offered, after a few moments' silence. "I mean, say that we decided to do 'other things', like you said. Is there anything in particular you had in mind?" He hopped she had more experience than he did when it came to these things.

"I don't know," she said flatly. "I could count the number of dates I've had on both hands if I had both arms amputated, if you see what I mean. I know how it's supposed to go and everything, but interdimensional space jail sort of makes it difficult to have a private life."

"Yeah." Mozenrath rubbed the back of his neck. "I was thinking something similar." So what did that leave them? Walks in the CES, perhaps, provided it switched to something a little more habitable. But what else? "They don't really provide us a lot in the way of recreation -- that counts, anyway."

"No kidding. We could just..." She shrugged. "We're not kids. It's not like we've got anything to prove here. We could just doing what we normally do and if the opportunity comes up for something better, then...y'know. It's not even like a date and two people hanging out look that much different from a distance anyway."

"Is it weird that we're even worrying this much about it?" he asked, refusing really to put too much thought into it, or to attribute what he was doing here to the sort of thing he mocked in other people.

"Are we worrying? I'm not all that worried. I don't really care about doing it right, it's not like we're being graded on this."

"No, of course not. However, while I would like to spend more time around you I'd rather not try to do anything that's going to make things awkward, if that makes sense."

"Well. Okay. What's going to make things awkward?" She sipped her coffee. "Other than the conversation we're having right now, I mean."

That actually made him laugh, perhaps because no one was around to see him, and it was therefore safe to find himself ridiculous without getting angry. "I really don't know. So -- I'm just not going to worry about it."

She'd seen him laugh more in the course of this one evening than she could remember seeing over the last five-or-so months of their knowing each other. It was far from a bad thing.

"Yeah, me either. It's not as if anybody here is like a paragon of full functioning social normality." Did Kirk and McCoy go on dates? No, unwanted mental image, erase from short-term memory, no..

Perhaps he didn't pay attention, but he had no idea who in this place was considered a couple and who was not. It just didn't seem that important. "But this isn't bad." The sorcerer took another sip, a larger one now that the coffee wasn't so hot anymore. "Let's try and start it without an argument next time."

She laughed under her breath. "Yeah, okay. I think we can probably manage that."
