[The video feed flickers to life when Shego smacks her communicator a couple times by mistake, groping along the side of her nightstand for a chirping alarm clock. She switches off the alarm, sits up and runs both hands through her hair - Shego's bed-hair is a terrifying thing to behold, it looks like there's twice as much of it as usual.

She swings her legs over the side of the bed and then, finally, notices the communicator. She leans in for a closer look, looking tired and bewildered.]

Doctor D, the heck is -

[There's a flicker of recognition in her face, and then her expression becomes completely unreadable.]

No.

Oh no no no.

[The screen fills with green energy, cracks, then goes blank.]

No, I am not okay.

I'm -

How can I -

[There's the sound of something breakable being smashed against the wall. She returns to the communicator a minute later, sounding very slightly like she's got herself reigned in.]

How long have I been gone? Last thing I remember...the Barge was a cruise ship thing.

I distinctly don't remember that as I've been gone for exactly two weeks myself. Sorry, lady.

How long do you think you've been gone?

I have been alive and at home for six, maybe seven months. I am not even going to attempt to assume how long that translates to in Barge time.

Ah.

I'm not exactly going to be useful in this situation having been gone nearly eight months myself. I was told my time away amounted to two weeks in Barge time, but I wouldn't take my word for it.

Bummer.

I'm getting the idea that I wasn't away for much more than maybe a long weekend. So, great, looks like neither of us really got to skip out on any of the heaping helpings of psychiatric trauma that the Barge dishes out. Aren't we lucky.
