[On the far edge of the lake - as far as you can get from the cabins, and semi-obscured from view by some trees - 1am finds Shego sitting on the bank, lazily trailing her toes through the water and lighting a cigarette. As much as she's tried to avoid herding small children, she's still had more encounters today with idiot fourteen-year-olds who think they're at the center of the universe than she was planning to have all summer. At least she's alone-ish now, although it feels like camp never really sleeps. She inhales deeply, exhaling smoke.]

[He scrunches his nose and waves his hand in the smoke.] Could if I tried. If you had a drink, I could bitch about that, too.

I'm rationing. No liquor until at least two weeks in. [She grinds what's left of her cigarette into the grass next to her.] I guess you're one of those guys who thinks this is a genuinely beneficial learning experience, huh?

[He rolls his eyes and makes a note to take whatever booze he sees her with. She so isn't old enough. :|]

I'm not that weird, [he said with a half smile, sitting next to her.] I needed to keep busy this summer. Nothing wrong with learning how to make people listen to me while I'm at it.

[She laughs. Not in a mean way.] Sure. The world will fear and envy your power over a bunch of adolescent adrenaline junkies. First summer camp, then the world.

[IS THIS BONDING or just the calm before the mocking storm? Tim snorts.] I've got this internship at my dad's company after this. I figure there isn't a big step between kids and corporate moguls, right?

Nooo. It's more like a teeny tiny hop. They're just more resistant to caffeine, is all. What does your dad do, anyway?

Right. Need stronger coffee. I'll remember that. [He shrugs.] He has contracts with all sorts. Mostly electronics. I think there are a couple military deals, but he doesn't tell me much about them.

Exciting. So this is your one last grasp at the great outdoors before you get inducted into Daddy's evil empire, huh?

[He needs a moment to absorb that she thinks he has a winning smile. Then he needs a moment to reach up and pat his hair.]

Maybe not yet, but it's...heading that way. Don't go the whole summer without getting a trim, you'll look like you escaped from a late-90s boy band and that's only good for a very specific kind of girl.

[Tim shuddered.] Yeah, the scary kind.

Terrifying. [She drummed her fingers against the grass, feeling a little bit fidgety now that she didn't have a cigarette to hand.]

So. You don't smoke, you don't drink. Are you going to be bending any rules?

I might take my campers to the ice cream shack. Without clearing it with four people. [He wiggled his fingers in front of him.] I'm that intense.

[Shego laughed.] Check out your hardcore rebellion. I'm afraid to be seen with you.

[She circled a toe around in the lake water.]

I was going to take a swim before I head back. Wanna join me?

[He chuckled, looking out at the water before glancing back at Shego.] I, uh, I don't have trunks on.

Yeah, but you've got something on under there, right? Or just...

[She shrugged and shot him a challenging half-smile as she got to her feet.] ...just don't bother. I won't look.

[Oh. Boy. That. Well. Tim ran a hand through his hair and stood up, blushing a little. It was dark enough to hide that, right? He started tugging off his shirt.] Uh - yeah, okay.

Score one for peer pressure. [She chuckled and slid out of her sundress, revealing a black bikini underneath.] And hey, it's only the first night. Maybe by the end of summer you'll stop caring if your campers use the buddy system.

[Tim rolled his eyes at her, shaking his head. He hesitated for a minute, but slid off his shorts. At least he wore boxers today. He could deal with boxers in the water.] Uh-huh. And when one of them drowns, I get sued.

Not so much. The camp gets sued and you cry about how you were so undertrained and overworked that you just couldn't concentrate.

[She started to wade out into the lake. It was a warm night - the water was cooling but not chill.]

Oh, and then you sue them too for causing you emotional distress.

That'd be...a really crappy thing to do. [He stared for a moment before following her in.] Nothing like suing and lying.

[He snorted.] Not everyone wants a bad boy.
